Birthday Love

Tomorrow is my birthday.  I had resigned myself to the fact that my birthday celebration would be nonexistent this year.  My husband is out of the country, my sister just had twins and is still in the hospital, my dad had emergency eye surgery last week, my mom has been split between two states taking care of my sister and dad, we move this week, and my boys are only 3 and 5.  You could say we have a few things going on around here.  :)

But a week or so ago my oldest asked me how he was going to get me a present with Dada gone.  So he called his Nana and asked for help.  She took the boys out and they bought me presents and wrapped them.  They then came home and "hid" the presents in their closets.  Luckily this weekend as many friends were over packing my house I remembered where the presents were hiding and made sure they didn't get packed.  My son is so excited to give me my present in the morning.  And it just melts my heart.  I love them so much!!

I start each new scrapbook with a page using the boys' school picture.  At the pre-school they take individual shots and pics of siblings together.  This layout is one of my favorites.  I love the simple neutral background and the quote with a small orange border.  But mostly I love the title.  I used clear acrylic letters and backed them with blocks of cardstock.  The fact that the V is taller than the other letters gives the title visual interest.

The page melts my heart, just like the sweetness of my two boys that wanted to buy their Mama a birthday present.  Not many 5 year olds would do that!  They truly are my two LOVES!
