Fun in the Sun...well sort of.

I'm hoping to get my scraproom out of boxes sometime next week.  So I may have new stuff to post again soon.  But for today it's a layout I made last year.  We had a freakishly warm day in February of 2009.  I took advantage and got my kids out of the house and we went to our favorite playground.

I liked the cool blue because it reminded me of winter.  But the pops of yellow brightened it up a bit.  For a bit of interest I extended one of the blocks outside the picture grid.

I made this layout before I got my cricut and left some empty blocks on the page for either journaling or embellishments.  As I pondered what to do with the space.  My friend Sarah once again came through with an amazing title idea.  "February Freedom.  No hat, No coat, No gloves."

I searched and searched for a coat svg.  Never did find what I needed.  And I looked EVERYWHERE for the embellishments I did find.  I was shocked at how difficult it was to find winter embellishments.  But once I have my mind set on something I don't often give up on the idea.  :)  I do like how the page finally turned out.

There may not have been much sun, but the boys and I did have lots of fun that February day!
