In my blog hopping I have become addicted to Stacy Julian's blog. She is so happy with such great ideas. She recently wrote a post about a new class at Big Picture Scrapbook called Picture Summer. "Picture Summer is a 30-day photography project intended to encourage and inspire you to celebrate the season of sun and fun by playfully engaging your creative spirit."
That's what I need! Fun, playful and creative! So I joined in. Maybe having some fun with photos will bring back my scrappy inspiration. Here are my favorites from the first few days.
Day 1 ~ What is summer to you?
(I actually did take these on July 1st even though I had not yet enrolled in the class)
Summer = Gorgeous Bright Colors
Summer = Gentle Soft Lilies
Summer = Lots of Outdoor Play
Summer = Fresh Tomatoes from the Garden
Day 2 ~ Something splashy that documents your ultimate cool-down routine.
(Confession time...I enrolled in this class late this afternoon and didn't know what today's assignment was. I had no time left today to do something splashy so I pulled a photo from last week of my son at swim lessons. But it still meets my needs for this assignment.)
My boy is still not too sure about the water, but if he can "sit on Mama's feet" he's happy as can be.
I can't wait to see what will come from the next 28 days. Hope you'll follow along on this journey with me, and maybe even join in! If you have pics that represent summer to you, or document some splashy fun comment and leave me a link. I'd love to see your photos too!
