July 6th

Today the challenge was to photograph the landscape.  It rained a lot today which made it difficult to get outside and get a pic.  There is an empty field next to our house.  Someday it will be filled with houses, but for now it makes me feel like I live in the country.  So I headed out into the field to see what I could capture.

Beautiful Bounty - The prompt asked us to see the landscape as it wants to be seen.  When I spotted these flowers that phrase popped into my head.  For me, this photo turned out the best.

Grass is Always Greener - I loved the perspective of having the fence line in the shot.  This is what I see from my backyard.  The weeds look so much prettier this way than in real life. :)  But it's still beautiful!

I couldn't decide which way I liked this photo best.  The softer tones of the second photo are so vintage (used a photoshop action on this one), yet the blue of the sky on the first one is stunning too.  Hard to choose.

The sun setting over the field.  Lovely

For this shot of the sunset I colorized it in Photoshop and gave it a vignette.  I love how it turned out even though the original shot had the colors of the sunset in the photo above.

This is just such a classic outdoor shot.  Puffy little clouds, field, trees.  Just pretty.

I love having so many pretty views just out the door of my home.  I'll be sad when the houses come, but I will always remember these "Wide Open Spaces."
