Picture the Holidays - Dec 7th and 10th

Today we were to photograph light.  For most of the day this was the only light I could focus on...

As the day went on and things began to look up I was able to look at the lights around me and I saw this...

This gorgeous church is near the hospital where my Dad is.  The church was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed it to include a steeple of light but the technology wasn't around at the time.  The design was completed once the technology became available.  For me this light served as a visual reminder of all the prayers going up on my Dad's behalf.

So I decided that the first photo was really more fitting for the Dec 7th prompt, which I hadn't gotten around to taking.  A photo that expresses my emotions.  And this has certainly been where my emotions have been lately.
