Picture Winter Week 1

For Picture Winter I have decided to post once a week rather than trying to keep up with daily posts.  My husband informs me that Fall is my favorite season, and he's probably right, but I also LOVE winter.  I don't like being out in the cold, but I love snuggling in warm clothes, by the fire, drinking hot chocolate and watching it snow.  And as a former teacher I always love a snow day!

I have loved every minute of Tracey Clark's "Picture" classes over at BigPictureClasses.com.  I can't wait to see what comes out of this as we Picture Winter.

Jan 1st ~ Rest and Read

My favorite way to rest is to read a good book. Comfy clothes, my favorite chair, and a book in my hands...perfect way to spend the day!

Jan 2nd ~ Fields of Gold

One of the few shots I got today before my battery died...grrr. Turned out pretty though. I love the contrast of colors.

Jan 3rd ~ Possibilities

so many places to stretch my wings.

Jan 4th ~ World of Sparkle

I have this chandelier style lamp on my craft table. I love the way it catches the light as well as the blue from the sky outside the window. All this sparkle just makes me happy...and ready to scrap!

Jan 5th ~ Warm and Snuggly

One thing I wear all the time is this big comfy sweater (my husband keeps the house COLD) Today as it was hanging on the back of the kitchen chair I was struck by the sun shining through the back of the sweater. Want to go cuddle up right now! :)

Jan 6th ~ Let the sun shine in...

That song has been stuck in my head ever since the email this morning. Then at a play date my son and a friend were playing with her princess castle. I saw the sun streaming through the little windows and knew that was my shot for the day.

Jan 7th ~ Fabulous Frost

There is such simple beauty when frost covers the world.

Jan 8th ~ Finding Texture

Haven't gotten to this one yet...  :)

Jan 9th ~ Bundle Up

One of my favorite things to do on a cold winter day is snuggle up in a warm scarf.
