The time has come! On the first of every month I plan to participate in this blog hop! It's our opportunity to show you the work we have done for our One Little Word prompt. I am the second stop on the blog hop, so if you started here and want to start at the beginning hop back to http://xnomads.typepad.com/.
When you open my album this is what greets you. Lots of lovely orange and fun papers. :)
And here is my work for February. Nine photos to represent my word...present. My photos are cropped and if you look closely you'll see a clear number on each photo (done in PSE).
Next to the photos I created this 8.5x11 page. In each circle I journaled about why I chose that photo (hence the numbers). I added a few embellishments. Honestly I'm not totally in love with this page, but it serves my purpose. Telling the story of my pictures. AND I made it all digitally. Yay!
Looking forward to seeing what March brings!
For the next stop on the blog hop head on over to Jill's at http://jillconyers.typepad.com/

I love your 8 1/2 x 11 page. It was the first thing that caught my eye when your post opened! Nice work. I've never used orange much and I'm going to have to rethink that.
ReplyDeleteLoving your journaling spots Monica! Great job. I love what you've gleaned from your OLW. Similar to some thoughts I have gleaned from my OLW, mindfulness! Great job, TFS!
ReplyDeleteSo good! The journaling is lovely. I'm enjoying the journey as well :)
ReplyDeleteI love your photos, but the journaling really brings it all to life. I've done mine paper, but you have me considering adding a page about my photos!
ReplyDeleteYour pages are wonderful! I like the orange color and the circle journaling page is great! (stop #29)

ReplyDeleteI love your photos and love how you journaled about why you chose the picture! I might have to borrow that idea and go back and journal why I chose mine. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love this blog hop! Everyone's words are so inspiring. I can relate to so many of them. I just love your word--present. In fact I just made a mixed media piece inspired by being present. Wonderful photos and I love your descriptions!

And I love that shirt! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures for your word! I like that you did journaling to explain your pictures. I think the orange circles look very nice, and I like how the three pages look at the beginning, too (before you turn any pages). Very inspiring. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to include an explanation of your photos! And way to go on the all-digi layout : )
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about how I would incorporate my rationale. This is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos and journaling! Being present is a really hard thing to do, and that is quite strange, don't you think? Now is all we have, and somehow we don't have that either?
