OLW Blog Hop ~ April

Welcome to the April edition of the One Little Word blog hop!

And now a word from our sponsors (insert cheezy music here)...
If you've been following along you came here by way of Jen.  If you are starting here and would like to go back to the beginning of the hop you can pop over to see Margie.  At the bottom of this post is a full list of all my fellow blog hoppers.
We now return you to regularly scheduled programming...

This month's OLW challenge was to write a "note to self."  Ali's inspiration was a letter she wrote to herself as a kid that was mailed back to her a year later.  I too had one of those experiences.  It's always so interesting to see what you were thinking a year ago, and what you hoped for yourself then.  I was really excited for this challenge because this past week I turned 35.  To me writing a letter to myself seemed a great way to kick off my 35th year!

Ali told us about a site called FutureMe.org that you send an email to and they send one back to you in a year.  Kind of an updated tech-y version of her inspiration letter.  I plan to send this to myself and look forward to seeing what insights it brings a year from now.

I showed you my title page at the top of this post.  Here is how it looks in my book with the April self portrait.  You can also see my February photo enlargement peeking through.  I am totally in love with this title block and it couldn't have been more simple.  Over at Write.Click.Scrapbook a few weeks ago they did a series on beginner digital scrapbooking.  They shared a digi template by Crystal Wilkerson (who I am a big fan of)!  It is designed to be a 12x12 layout but I resized it to 5x5.  Then instead of using a photo I used the title block designed by Ali Edwards for this project.  Then I added the quote, "It is only possible to live happily ever after on a day to day basis."  I love the bright colors and the look of all the elements together!  And I think I have a new favorite quote!  :)

And here it is all together in my book.  (Sorry for the slightly yellow tone to the photo).  I loved the focus of this month's prompt!  It was so perfect for where I am right now!  Can't wait to see what Ali comes up with for May!

And now for some more OLW creativity...your next stop on this blog hop is Katrina!  For a full list of all the OLW blog hoppers see below.  Thanks for stopping by!
