Week in the Life ~ Weekend

With a house full of guests all weekend long I got behind on posting for Week in the Life.  So here is a combined post for some of my Sat and Sun pics.  SOOC and no photo frames but pics all the same!  :)

Here is Sat...

Friday night, or rather, Sat morning I went to bed at 1:20 AM.  I was then awakened at 6 AM by my boys.  :)  So before everyone else got up I spent a bit of time catching up on my blogs and uploading my Friday pics.

We started Saturday morning with plenty of snacks to get us through the day.

I got a cup of hot tea to start my day.

My son's school has a scrapbook committee to document each year.  So I spent some time completing the 14 layouts I was assigned.  (Didn't get them all done but finished a huge chunk).

Love my scrappy friends!  My house was FULL!

I hired a babysitter for the day to keep my boys entertained.  They did pop up every once and awhile...cause they were hungry.  :)

Otherwise they could be found in the basement playing Wii along with some of the other kids that had come with their Moms.

My friend's daughter working with the boys on cutting paper.  After this my oldest asked me if he could have a scrapbook to make his own "creations" in.  We have a scrapping date on Tuesday.

Here's my living room at the end of the day.  Lots of creative energy going on here!

And here is Sunday...

This morning my oldest said, "Mama, it was good to sleep in my own bed cause I feel rested this morning."  Ha!  Here he is getting his church bag ready to go with money for the offering and lunch.  Since I still had company a friend came to get the boys and take them to church.  This is the one day I wish had been more "normal" in my WITL.  I miss church a handful of times a year so to have no church photos seems strange.  But this was my life...today...  :)

This is a daily routine.  Spray down those cowlicks with water and try to make them lay flat.

Waiting for our friends to come pick him and his brother up.

Gathering his money for offering.

Once the boys were on their way I grabbed some breakfast.

One of the last few standing!  :)

The other of the last few standing.  :)

Can you believe the amount of stuff two people can bring?  :)  My house was so full of scrapping stuff this weekend was unbelievable.  I was sad to see everyone go.

I wanted to pull together one more project so I started cutting some 4x6 sheets of paper.

While I was waiting for the boys to come back home I decided to walk to the mailbox.  It is a bit of a walk from my house.  Can you see it?

Me and my mail  :)

I got a package of some jewelry I ordered from Emerge Global (an organization helping abused girls in Sri Lanka).  The necklace is just beautiful!

I got back to work on putting together this little album.

Then the boys returned home.  And our friends stayed for dinner.

Finishing up food left over from the weekend.

How nice to have good friends that give my boys a little "Dad" time while their Daddy is away.

Spending some time outside.  My son was so proud of how high he was swinging.

Stomping up to bed mad cause he wasn't ready to sleep.  Grumpy, TIRED boys and Mama.  But it was a great weekend!

And there you have it.  One week in my life!

So tell me, how was your weekend?

  3. Thirty One bags are PERFECT for toting around scrappy stuff! :) Having a friend as a Thirty One consultant helps feed our addiction. In fact one of our friends recently had a catalog party and used this weekend to deliver everyone's goods. Love that stuff! You have a good week too!

  4. What a fun and crafty day you had. How lucky are you that your kids' school have scrapbooking going on. Would love love this idea. I miss having crop weekends, been a few years for me. It was fun to read about your day and I'm curious to see that album and pages you were working on, the paper looks fun and colorful. Looking forward to seeing your album when it's done.
