Tooth Fairy Alert!

Yesterday I showed you how I made my son a Tooth Fairy pocket. Today I want to show you the cute page I made for the occasion!

This page is all digi so I bet you can guess where I got my products...do I even need to say her name?!? It's Crystal Wilkerson all the way!

Crystal's papers are so fun and vibrant! Just seemed like a perfect pairing for such a fun occasion!

I love that I not only got the story documented but also my son's first note to the tooth fairy. It was definitely a moment to remember!

Tooth Fairy Pocket

I knew it was almost time, but when I went to have lunch with my son and saw how wiggly his tooth was I rushed home to put together this Tooth Fairy pocket. And it was so quick and easy!! I've had this project from here pinned on Pinterest for awhile.

I used my handy dandy Tim Holtz ruler to cut the felt to size. First I cut a strip 2 1/4 in wide.

Then I cut the strip to 6 1/4 in long.

You can find the pattern for the tooth over at Benzie Design. The tooth was a little small for the pocket I was making. But I cut it out anyway.

Then when I cut the white felt tooth I cut around the pattern to create a slightly bigger tooth.

Not perfect, but totally good enough for me!

I folded the red felt to the approximate size and placed the tooth.

Using white thread I stitched around the edges of the tooth.

I folded down the top flap and pinned it in place.

Then I added a ribbon to  the back of the pocket. I folded under the edges of the ribbon and pinned them in place.

Then I stitched across the top of the flap making sure to catch the ribbon in my stitches.

Here's what it looks like from the back.

Now I folded up the pocket and tucked it under the flap and stitched the sides.

Here is the front of the completed pocket.

And here it is from the back.

Your Tooth Fairy pocket is ready to hang anywhere. And so cute too!

My son LOVED his tooth fairy pocket! And I did too! :) Come back tomorrow to see the page I made all about my boy loosing his first tooth!

Got any fun loose tooth stories? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear all about it!

Husbands in Training

One day over at ScrapHappy Lain Ehmann issued a challenge to use a window display as inspiration for a layout. I immediately knew which window I wanted to use.

I snapped these photos during Week in the Life. I love having everyday pics! And having photos of my boys doing laundry seemed like the perfect everyday photo to scrap about.

Design Inspiration: I saw this amazing display in NYC. I loved the colors and shape of this window display!

Color Inspiration: My color inspiration also came from this photo. The yellow of the floor, the bright colors of the balls, and the silver in the window.

I found lots of tone on tone patterns for the circles. To replicate the window I used this lovely transparency. I just love how it turned out!

What can I say, husbands in training just seemed like the perfect title for this page! I recently discovered these plastic letters in my stash. They were perfect for this layout. Finding stash you didn't remember you had is like finding money in your pocket!

More handwritten journaling! So perfect for quick and easy pages! Draw some lines, write your words and done!

What are some skills that you are bound and determined that your children will learn? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear all about it!
