This layout is of my youngest son's first Easter egg hunt. I was so excited to get family pictures in addition to the Easter day festivities.
I chose to use small photos in a photo strip format for the egg hunting pictures. The clash of colors in the boys' pajamas was not something I wanted to focus on when looking at the layout. I wanted your eye to be drawn to the family photos.
I loved the stickers I found for this page. I wanted to cross the visual line of the purple paper with the egg sticker strip. It pulls your eye across the page. And I HAD to take advantage of a chance to use a flower subtly on this page. With 2 boys I don't get to use flowers very often. :)
I love playing little tricks to catch your eye. By backing the upper photo in white and leaving the other without a mat draws you into the sweet photo of my boys. The lower left corner almost acts as an arrow pointing into the other photo of my sleepy grumpy boys that were SO DONE with Mama's photos.
All in all it truly was an eggcellent day!
