No it's not Christmas...it's BACK TO SCHOOL! And for a stay at home mom like me it's a time to celebrate, at least a little bit. :)
We had the chance to meet my son's 1st grade teacher yesterday and wanted to take her a little something. As a former teacher myself, I know how much I enjoyed getting new school supplies and classroom "stuff." Probably as much as the kids! So I turned to the girls at eighteen25 for an inspirational idea. And they didn't disappoint!
I'm not posting step by step directions because I followed the steps found here. The only difference is that my box was slightly different from theirs so the design on top is adapted a bit.
Used some white paper letters and tried my hand at heat embossing. I like how it turned out.
I added a flower, cut from some patterned paper, for a bit of embellishment.
And some green ribbon for a bow. Just perfect!
But not quite as perfect as all these goodies! Pretty school supplies and chocolate. Does it get any better than that? :)
Are you excited about your kids heading back to school? Or do you dread the end of summer? What's your favorite back to school treat? I'd love to hear all about it!

THat's awesome. I didn't get anything as great as that, but I did get a lot of shy smiles! :) Love the creative gift!
ReplyDelete:) I never got anything like this either. Which is why I like doing it for my boys' teachers!
