Today we were to capture an image we wanted to remember. To "make a memory." We celebrated my Mom's 60th birthday this evening so I felt like the prompt was particularly appropriate. I was all set for some gorgeous shot of Mom with her lovely cake. Then about 2 min prior to the cake festivities, my oldest ran into a wall and split his head open. Nice... So I was doing the ice pack thing and wasn't able to snap any photos. :( Thankfully I got a few other shots throughout the evening that were definitely things I wanted to remember so I was still able to participate in the prompt.
Mom does not like to have her photo taken so I don't have very many pics of her smiling with her grandchildren. She smiles regularly but not if she sees a camera coming. :) I caught her this time. I loved how the light was shining on her face. Nothing like a little Nana snuggles!
We have been waiting a long time to welcome my niece and nephew into the world. Whenever they are around they gather crowds of adoring fans.
This is such a classic shot of my youngest. He was coming to tell me it was time for cake and ice cream (just prior to his brother's big bang).
These are all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI do not believe your mom is 60 -doesn't look a day over 29! ;)
Your youngest is adorable! Such a great big smile!
Thanks! She has always looked young. I'm hoping I inherit that gene!
